Hi there
Quick question, yes I know another one...![]()
Anyway the question is this - I have 2 external USB drives, and on my desktop I have shortcuts pointing to applications on one of the drives.
I'm using Vista Ultimate and I don't plug both drives in at the same time and I frequently find that the drive letter changes. I know how to change the drive letter but how I do I get it to be a specific drive letter permanently without having to change the drive letter manually each time?
Thanks in advance for any advice/help![]()

not sure if this works, but try assigning a letter at the end of the alphabet (or far away from your last fixed drive) , lets say you already have fixed drives up to E:, then assign something like X: or Y: (to the USB drive you want to make permanent).

Cool thanks. It doesn't happen all the time, just every now and then but thanks for the advice anyway
