This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    RDP and gadgets

    win7/64 SP1 on both machines.

    About 3 times in 5 when I RDP into a laptop, the gadgets fail to start up/show.

    It looks like a desktop scaling problem (going from 1600 on the laptop screen to 1920 on the PC screen) which in turn is preventing (sometimes) sidebar.exe from starting up quickly enough.

    Graphics drivers are up to date. i3 2.4gz cpu with 8 Gb ram on the laptop.

    Nothing in the event viewers on either machine.

    The lan is GigE between the desktop and the laptop. RDP is set display at high color and the lan is set to 10mb/higher.

    Any ideas?
