Guys I am sorry if this should've been posted in networking
but I guess I had a windows, software , and networking request so 2/3 I put it in here![]()
Qs is I want to configure the MS RDP from a win7Pro x64 into my mac mini, that is connected to my TV downstairs
the reason why I am looking towards a MS solution is that supposedly the speeds are way better than the screen tearing ultra-VNC I am using to connect to my mac, wirelessly on a N network with all bars
Problem is, the mac can easily talk to my R4 (running Killer-1103 with as latest drivers) easily enough (and quite fast if I may say), however the RDP from my 7pro laptop cannot connect and keeps spitting out

I have AVAST internet sec
I have enabled the software to pass through windows firewall
I have the recommended password as set out in the FAQ for setting up RDP
I have fixed IP to my MAC (infact the entire network is running on fixed IP)
I am a bit of a networking NOOB..(ergo using the 5th GEn AEBS) so please simplify it down to something I can replicate![]()
much obliged

I'm pretty sure the windows RDP client will only work for a PC, not a Mac...

You could try teamviewer instead, I've had good experiences with it.

There's also the chrome Remote Desktop plugin as an option.

No they do have RDP for mac, it works beautifully from the mini to my laptop, just not the other way around

Teamviewer has nearly the same choppiness I described with ultravnc

Can't , I don't want to login via my email address to be able to Remote Desktop, I don't want google knowing every time I need to remote into my machine
As it is I am pretty miffed at the fact that Facebook somehow gained access to my tel.directory and now is sending me friends request on behalf of these guys
Does anyone have any idea how to quicken the pace on ultra vnc between my pc and Mac mini -
...exactly - it only works for RDP'ing into a windows machine. What you have on your mac is a client, but that's it.

I'm pretty sure you can use it without being logged into chrome, but whatever.
REmote Desktop
