Obviously this is the wrong night to be asking anything that doesn't have to do w/ windows 7 but I wasn't able to d/l it... grrr...

So... Rainmeter HUD is up and running but the CPU temp and the Wireless Util are flatlining on me. Any ideas why? I did a bunch of searches but came up empty.

    Any help???

    Yep...

When I started the wireless one ala net start wirelessuio it crashed rainmeter altogether.

The CPU temp one just refuses to go... though no probs getting CPU temps w/ hardware monitor.

Are any of you guys using vista able to use these two meters? Also, my rainmeter doesn't have a help file, nor could I find one...so idk if I'm missing something there.

The wireless one doesn't seem to work for me either. Is there something to change in the wireless config under 'edit skin' that I'm missing?

Ok, so I figured out that you have to install the wireless plugin as a network protocol first to your wifi adapter before you can get the wifi skin working.

    here are the instructions:

In Network Connections UI, select an adapter and open Properties.
Click Install, then Protocol, then Add, and then Have disk.
Then point to the location of the wirelessuio.inf and driver (in the Rainmeter/Plugins directory).

Select Wireless Usermode I/O Protocol and click OK.

Start the protocol. Click Start, then Run, and type "Net start wirelessuio".
If the plugin stops reporting data, close Rainmeter and run the following commands:
"net stop wirelessuio", then "net stop wirelessuio".

I can't get the protocol to install though. I get the error "A service installation section in this INF is invalid."

Has anyone been able to install this protocol on an intel 5100 or 5300?
