I rebooted my computer today and noticed that Rainmeter was not starting up like it used to.
I checked under the Startup folder in the Start Menu and the icon was not there. I dragged the icon from the Rainmeter folder to the Startup folder and rebooted. Rainmeter started, but in two instances. I checked it out through Autoruns and I had two startup processes for it. I deleted one of them and rebooted...no Rainmeter. By disabling one of them I was disabling both of them.
I uninstalled Rainmeter and reinstalled. I rebooted and it came up twice again on startup.
Any ideas why this is happening?

check msconfig. winkey+r>type 'msconfig'>startup tab
you might have 2 rainmeter.exe, uncheck one of them<apply>ok>reboot -
I thought about that too and there are 2 instances of rainmeter.exe. I disable one of them and it disables both. I can always exit from one of them when I start the computer in worst care, but I'd like to resolve it.

u might want :
. to check inside Rainmeter properties and UNcheck "start with windows" and/or
. instead of click & drag, open ur startup folder and perform "new" and search for the exe file via windows add new startup process

I only have 'About' and 'Edit Settings' , but neither have the starts with Windows option. I'll install it again and uncheck that box...maybe that will work.
