Okay so I recently got an external monitor for my laptop, I have rainmeter running and unless I only have the external monitor enabled rainmeter will always overlay on the laptop screen, is there a way to make it show up on the 2nd monitor (the external) not the laptops display?

Do you mean having one of the apps show on the second monitor? You should be able to just drag it to where you want on each monitor. Then when you restart Rainmeter or your computer, it should be in the same place that you left it.
