I keep getting random bluescreens. The most frequent error is the STOP 0x0000003b.
I reformatted and reinstalled windows but still I am having the same problems.

Please.........some help
I keep getting these blue screens. -
What does it say in event viewer? Google and then post screens of your problem if you haven't figured it out.
-
How and when do the bluescreens happen? are they seemingly random? Any chance you can give a few more details? If you have more of the stop error numbers they might help too.
One thing I found by googling was some poeple are getting that stop code due to bad RAM, I don't know if that helps, you could try running something like memtest to check if it's ok. -
I did run Memtest and everything was Ok. The Bluescreens are just random, nothing specific is being done, they just appear surprisingly.
-
I also have Vista x64. Any chance you updated your video drivers to the latest NVIDIA ones available from Microsoft? My machine has been SOLID since I got it in July, and all it took to get random (and frequent) BSOD's was that "critical/recommended" video driver update from Microsoft.
On a side note, the most stable and smoothest ones that worked for me (config below) was the 101.19, regardless of what the WEI says.
Good luck on the problem hunt.

do you have turbo memory?
-
Well, since you haven't told us any concrete details, there's only so much advice we can give you.
Does it list anything else? Extra parameters, maybe, or a filename?
Did it always do this, or did it start recently?
If it started recently, what has changed?
If you have updated any drivers, roll them back. Otherwise, update all drivers to the latest.
Update bios as well.
Does it happen just when you're idling in Windows? When you play audio? Watch video? Play games? How frequently do they occur?
If nothing else works, try disconnecting all nonessential hardware, and see if that helps.
Check the eventlog as said above. And tell us what it says.
Do you know if something similar happens if you run another OS? -
Yes I do get names of file. They wary. Sometimes its win32.sys, sometimes tcpip.sys, sometimes ntfs.sys etc.
The error parameters vary from STOP: 0x0000003b, 4f etc etc. Nothing was changed. I upgraded my RAM to 2GB a month back and had no problems until the last few 3-4 days.
The errors occur just randomly, nothing specific.
I did run memtest, no errors detected.
I reformatted and switched between XP and Vista 64, but still I get the bluescreens. Sometimes it runs smoothly for hours and hours, somtimes they just keep coming in, even in safe mode.
The eventlog is just overcrowded, with a whole lotta errors.
I'm currently using the Nvidia drivers provided by Asus. I ran Windows Update and installed all updates. I upgraded BIOS. Still no help. -
my 2 cents ...
you might be suffering from intermittent reliability problem with one of the hardware component inside your system. i would suggest sending it in for servicing.
