Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of a random issue. Periodically my taskbar, and windows in fact, will randomly freeze up and become unresponsive. I can fix it immediately, by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Delete and opening the Task Manager. Afterwards everything is immediately responsive again.
This is actually a recent issue. I've recently reinstalled windows and everything was going swell, I installed all my normal programs, games, drivers, etc., when this issue suddenly popped up. I tried refreshing Windows to remedy the problem (before I knew about the Task Manager fix) but it didn't work long. I don't think I have any viruses or malware, Avast and Malwarebytes seem to indicate everything's okay, and I'd rather not have to reinstall Windows a 3rd time in the last month or so haha.
I'm on Windows 8.1 by the way, with the specs in the description. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I'd love an easy fix, but if I'm forced to I suppose I could to a reinstall after the launch of Windows 10 and try that out.

No one has encountered anything like this before?

What does Event Viewer say when this happens?

Is this enough information? As far as I can tell this is the warning I receive when it happens.
