Hey everyone,
Recently my laptop will assign shortcuts that will close open programs or activate the shutdown menu if no programs are opened. One time it assigned the caps lock key for this shortcut, another time it was the mute button. I'm not sure where this is coming from or what do to, any suggestions?
I've got an XPS M153O with Vista 32bit, up to date with microsoft updates as of 12/13/08. About a month ago I installed drivers for a bluetooth microsoft keyboard elite, and I'm wondering if that might be the culprit.
Thanks!

is it doing it by itself, or are you doing it?

I have to push the key for the program to close, but I didn't assign the shortcut to close the program.
Once I restart the computer, the shortcut goes away, and then somehow the shortcut is reassigned to a different key later. It seems very random, which is what confuses me the most. -
It must be something you installed....the keyboard elite sounds likely. Tried searching through it's settings?

The keyboard settings did have a shortcut key to close an open program, but I don't think it was hotkeyed to anything. I've disabled it just to be sure.
I haven't run a spyware check recently, I'll try that as well.
Thanks for the suggestions!
