    So i had some software installed by manufacture Paretologic. I uninstalled this software because it was CRAP, and didn't do what it was supposed to do. But now, once a day, i get an error message saying that rundll cannot access a file in the paretologic folder in program files. IDK why anything would be trying to access this file and i believe this is some sort of spyware or adware.

    the exact error message is as follows.

    Error Loading C:\programfiles\commonfiles\paretologic\UUS2\UUS.dll

    I have no idea what is trying to access this file or why. does anyone have any idea?

    sounds like the uninstall for the program didn't take away all of the registry keys. now the registry is looking for a file that doesn't exist. if you recently installed it, use windows restore to go to a time point before installing it and the problem should disappear.

    it looks like it is an antispyware program...

    another option is to go into the registry and delete all keys which contain 'paretologic'. make sure you know what you are doing if you choose this option, and create a restore point before poking around in there...

    Just some remarks from Wilders Security on Paretologic software in general and their XOFTSpy AS program specifically;

    'Wouldn't touch anything from Paretologic with a ten foot pole.'
    'Avoid them like the plague.'
    'I don't trust that company. XoftSpy = de-listed Anti-Spyware scanner. It even reported Windows objects as malware : unforgiveable.'

    From the Paretologic XOFTSPY EULA;

    'ParetoLogic may also use any information collected to provide notices to you which may be of use or interest to you.'

    Cheers.
