I want to run the benchmark system that is present in Vista; however, I can't seem to perform it on my Dell Inspiron 1520. I am fairly certain it is located under "Performance Information and Tool's", but I cannot find it. I performed this on another laptop, but can't seem to on this one. If anyone has any suggestions, be my guest.

yes, goto performance info and tools and then click "update my score", which is towards the lower right

That's a picture of my "Performance Information and Tools", and I cannot seem to find what your describing. I am fairly certain that Dell for some reason does not allow rating the laptop.

That is strange. On my Inspiron 1520, the Windows Experience Index is right below the "Not sure where to start?" test. Maybe try turning User Account Control off? Other than user permissions I don't know why that wouldn't appear.

I honestly don't know ether, and I already have Account Control off, and have also tried turning it back on. It's not even a big deal, it's just somewhat annoying not to be able to rate the laptop.

Go to C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore and delete any XML files in the folder and see if WEI then shows up. This is a fix for the WEI not updating itself, but *may* work in your situation.

It was TweakVI, that's all. I figured it out today, when I was searching around on Google. Thanks for the help guys, and I am glad that this was finally figured out.

I was gonna suggest to simply right-click My Computer and go to Properties... But good to know you figured it out :)
