My compaq originally came with IE6, and whenever I did a windows update after a full system restore, it would upgrade to IE7, which is fine. Now that Ive done another hard drive restore operation, windows is only giving me the option to re-install IE8. Every time I do a google search for IE7 I'm being redirected to a download site for IE8. How can I reinstall IE7? (My recovery disks have IE6 on them)

^^^^^ Thanks. For some reason the Google link which I used would not complete the IE7 install (at least not on my computer). I don't know why, I've never had any problems with Google products in the past. The link that you provided facilitated a successful install.
