I'm having a real problem with the volume level when I download a video using Real Player's "Download This Video" link. Then, when I play the video I get either very, very low sound or no sound at all, (whereas when I played the video on-line before downloading it, the volume level was normal).
I have checked everything I can think of. All of my sound and volume settings are correct, sound devices are enabled and working properly, and I have the most recent version of my IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.
I have the most recent version of Real Player 11.1.1, and my system is running Vista Home Premium x64.

Seriously I feel like laughing...
Real Player?
can't help, cuz I'm not sure people still use this junk, if they still do you might be lucky if you google it. -
Well, stop laughing, cause Real Player is actually a well rounded, very customizable app for a lot of multi media functions. Among other options, it has two features that I especially appreciate: one, the ability to create extremely customizable playlists that play specified music of any genre, any way you want -- but more important, is its "Download This Video" feature. You can download music and videos that would be otherwise UNDOWNLOADABLE! Do other multi-media players have a link that allows you to download music and video content from the internet (where the site itself does not provide any way to download that content)?

I used to love that "download this video" link from RealPlayer myself but quit using it. Something to try might be to see how those videos play in another player after you have them downloaded? Not sure if they would need converting to a different format first, but there are plenty of free converters out there. It's been a very long time since I used that app, so I could be wrong about this.
