Heres the deal. Realtek HD Audio drivers seem to be giving me popping sounds. I can just be doing something as simple as surfing the net, with no sounds or anything, and Ill still get a seemingly random popping sound coming from my notebook.

I decided to try updating the driver to the newest one on Realteks site, but still have the popping. Now, when I uninstalled the old driver I noticed the popping was completely gone. I actually left it uninstalled for 2 days. Then of course I realized later that I need the driver to use headphones or speakers. So, I installed the new driver and the popping is back.

My question is, is there a way to still be able to use headphones and speakers without Realtek? or its driver. Or something lol. Im a bit new at this stuff. All I know is I had no popping when it was uninstalled.

    Thanks for any info guys.

I believe the popping actually comes from electrical interference from your computer contaminating your audio output. Without a driver, you had no sound, right? No sound output, no popping.

Yeah, I've noticed that too, but I'm not disturbed by it. Don't know, however, what it might be. I would be interested to know.

Actually, I did have sound. That was why I left it uninstalled for awhile there. My notebooks speakers still functioned, however I coulnt use headphones or external speakers.
