This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Realtek...no sound

    Got victim today of the dreaded(and apparently very common)"no sound since the Realtek sound manager got ereased from my computer(don't have a clue how).Did go to Realtek site,re-upload the thing but...to no avail...I got no sound whatsoever on my laptop(except for the little bip warning).Any idea what to do ?Thanks!

    I had to delete the driver and re-install it off the supplied drivers CD.

    Thanks! Will try to find the original CD driver.I know many have try restore point...to no avail.
