What's the easiest way for me to do remote troubleshooting of a machine?

I am running Vista with the latest service pack on a Thinkpad, the machine I need to troubleshoot is a Dell laptop running XP with the latest service pack.

The troubled machine can access the internet.

    I would recommend LogMeIn Free.
It's so easy to setit up and had no problem using at all.
I am still using it too.
So google logmein and go to their site, it's free.

Teamviewer is an alternative if they are iffy about installing programs. It doesn't offer as much functionality as logmein but it runs without installing anything.
