What do you like? I'm looking for something to burn various videos to dvd. It would be great to have multi session and chapter labeling if possible. Thanks.

I use the built in windows 7 video maker.

I'm still using XP.

google came up with this =P Lifehacker, tips and downloads for getting things done
I use Nero when I want to be fancy but its $50 -
That link is from 2007, I was hoping to hear about something more up to date. I appreciate your input. What does Nero do that the freebies don't?
-
Well XP is a old OS
. I've never used it but I read good things about it.
YouTube - How To Burn A Movie File To A DVD worth a shot?
With Nero you get more options on how you want to burn it what ratio, import subs, etc. plus there is technical support. Updates are always adding new features. -

Imgburn
Free opensource works great
I think you asked the wrong question though, when you asked for dvd burning software, that is only putting the actual data on DVD. I think what you meant to ask for is DVD authoring software.
Best one for me is AVStoDVD also open source and works great. Older one that is still pretty good is DVDFlick. -

dvdflick is definitely what you want
video -> dvd. done.

Yep DVDFlick is good but no longer supported so its like 4 years old, AVS2DVD is still being worked on and does the same stuff so it is a bit better IMO.
However DVDFlick does work well in most situations as DVD standards are not changing or anything so old stuff can still do the job.
The really big thing that has changed is the video you may be using as an input, so if you were using say some H264 HD content I find AVS2DVD to decode that and recode it to MPEG2 for DVD much better. -
Ahbeyvuhgehduh Lost in contemplation....
dvdshrink is pretty useful....

I would have suggested that also, but the thread starter also asked for multisession, which is purposely not supported by Imgburn.
Imgburn is closed source. I agree about the two other points, though.

And for good reason, too. Multisession is really a hit or miss (usually miss) thing, especially with DVDs. I wouldn't trust it either. C'mon now, a blank DVD is only about thirty cents....

No suggestions since I don't do it myself, but I just a note that I changed the thread title to more match what the OP actually asked

Don't tell me
