    Recording part of a video

    I want to record part of a video I have but not all of it to send to someone.

    What program can I use for this task? It needs to be able to record and handle a fair bit of data!

    If you're using Vista you can try using Windows Movie Maker and see how far that gets you. Macs have iMovie, which is a bit better. You probably want to invest in something like Adobe Premier (Elements), though.

    You could try out Sony Vegas 5.0....It does have the options you are looking for but is mainly used to re-encode files to upload them in HQ on youtube, etc. :rolleyes:
