My ASUS zenbook was working fine last night. Today morning I go use my laptop and my laptop is stuck in a loop for windows parition recovery and no matter what I tried I couldn't get pass the windows parition recovery screen and I went through with it and in the process I lost everything. Is there a way to get anything back? I lost some important product keys and I would really want to get those back. Along with my music collection. I'm lost for words and really upset and not sure what to do.

Sounds like the HDD died. It couldn't get to the primary OS and then went into recovery. I am assuming you did the restore to factory, usually this is a quick format only. This means with recovery softwaqre some thuings may be there but again may not be in the non presently occupied sectors.

I know this is hindsight but it is why it is always recommended to back up your stuff.

Maybe if you put the drive in external hdd case you might be able to get to some of your stuff...maybe. It has worked for me. The best investment for you is to get a external had. This time of year you can get for around $50-$60.00 . I have 2 of them, one to back it up to and one to backup my backup.

Actually , we lost data from phone for some reasons , like factory reset , updater ,root ,damage .....but it doesn't meant the data can be completely deleted from phone ,i used to recover lost data with third party tools
