How does the recovery disks you make when you get a new PC to that of the full version of the XP pro disks? Aren't they the same thing? I want to do a fresh install and partition my HD before I start using the nc8430.

Recovery discs installs the crap that came with the system; Adobe, Norton etc, whereas proper XP discs just installs XP and XP alone

That's it. The only thing is you need to pay extra to have your own XP disc. Whether that's worth it to you depends on how much money you have :p Most are just fine with cursing under their breath, then cleaning a system of crap manually with programs

I think you should just put up with the recovery discs, uninstall programs you don't want and use a registry cleaner and spend the money on accessories for the laptop or on other things

I guess the only good thing is with the nc8430, there is hardly any bloatware with the system, correct?
