I decided to reinstall my whole windows from my hp8710w recovery partition. So i do the whole proces everithing works perfect.
Download a nod32 install it download all the updates for the nod, download all the updates for my vista. Settle my programs and i am off to to a standard nod 32 scan. It scans everithing all clean and then at the very end puf...
D:resycled/boot.com is infected with a trojan.... cant remember which one anymore. I thought that the recovery is supposed to be secure!!?? its all locked up....
Anyway as i am writing this i am reinstalling the whole windows with the standard norton i get with the hp will try to scan the partition with that. If the trojan is there what can i do ? i mean i dont have a clean installation anymore i dont know what to do!

if you really want to make sure that your laptop is clean. do a clean install. get a vista disc and download all of your drivers

The restore partition is hidden; it is not the d drive. It looks like you have a partition that shows up as d, and it has been previously infected.
