I have a Lenovo T400 with Vista Business. I think I may have made multiple backups of my systems using the different software for Vista and Lenovo. Is there any way to check this? I feel like too my of my HDD is being taken up by backups.

I suppose you'll have to manually go through the motions - look at dates when they were created.
Or if all runs well, do a backup on an external media like DVDs, check all is still running well (e.g. no software incompatebilities) and then wipe off your backups - problem is, this may not be ideal for you as that wouldn'T necessarily backup your files.

Another option would be to check in the "task scheduler" list for any backup scheduled task's, and simply disable those that you don't want there.. Cheers.

i say buy norton ghost, it has saved me tons of time many times and i believe in full one time disk image backup of whole c drive. Ghost just creates image of whole hard drive which you can restore later in cash windows crash on you.

I'm not asking what to do, I'm asking where to do it. I don't know where to look for these things.

Without knowing either utility, I would think that if you ran each backup utility you should be able to get a list of the various backups each one has created and where the backups are located.

Also, instead of making a whole new backup each time, you should be able to make so-called incremental backups where the utility just alters the original backup file to take into account anything that's changed since that original was made. That should help to keep down the total size of your backup files.
