... shows over 800 errors? Is this possible? I use Pitstop Optimizer and CCleaner and come up clean.

Most are missing typelibs or invalid path from deleting programs and a few empty keys

Of course to clean it up only cost $29.00. Is it worth it?

I think it depends on how easily you could save your files, and reinstall operating system?

Idk, i use Glary Utilities (free, recommended by msn.com), and it seems to be fixing my registry problems when/if i have them

I'd second that. Most paid-for cleanup programs are only good at cleaning out your wallet. What reason would they want to tell you that you have a clean computer? That would mean they couldn't sell you their software. Similar to those "Your computer is broadcasting an IP address!" scam ads.

We have spyware and malware--most programs that claim to clean the registry should be labeled "scamware"

Never heard of Registry Booster, but these programs are pretty useless and sometimes do more harm than good.

I wouldn't spend the money, but can't really say whether the program is actually worth 30 bucks or not. If CCleaner says your machine is OK, it probably is, at least, I wouldn't worry about it.

FWIW: I like RegSeeker, another freebie. Also, there are posters here who think, basically, that you should just leave the Registry alone.

Well, I deleted Registry Booster2, which I found on Bleeping computer, checking a start up program, and used Windows Live Onecare and cleaned 322 invalid entries. At least it created a restore point in case of problems

I know, I'm guilty of too much tweaking. It's what I get for hanging around places like NBR!
