You probably use Firefox right? Well if you do, then go here, and download that plug in. It will enable you to watch WMP files on the net with FF. It'll solve your problem, and if you get into trouble then just come back for some more help. All you gotta do if Click "Download Now!" and then when it's done you click the .exe and it'll do the rest. Make sure you allow it in UAC if you have it on, or else you won't be able to do squat.

So you installed it, and it doesn't work for firefox still? (By the way you should switch, but i'm not trying to convert you or anything) If you have noscript, or flashblock that may be affecting it, especially if you have automatic features enabled. Do you have those extensions? Also since IE doesn't work I think it's a little fishy. I'm diving into the ocean.

I tried reinstalling Windows Media Player because I thought I messed something up but when I tried downloading WMP11 directly from Microsoft it said the version I currently have is newer than what I was trying to download, and would not continue.

Is there a way to repair WMP11 to its original state? I think thats what the OP is asking.

Same problem with me. The setup on MS website is for Windows XP, if you see, there is not setup for WMP for Windows Vista.
