    Ya, you'll need a copy of the Install DVD. Or just download it.

    Just make sure to copy down your product key before you wipe your drive.

    Indeed. If you aren't sure where your key is located at in your Office installation, try using a program that will root through your computer looking for software keys. The following might be helpful, or a similar program that does the same thing:

    Download the trial for the same edition you currently have.

    Then get your product key with this program:

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/produkey.zip

    Uninstall Office before you upgrade windows, then install Office using the key that you found using Produkey.

    If it has been longer than 90 days since you installed your current copy it will most likely activate with no problem whatsoever! If it doesn't activate call the number and tell them you upgraded windows.

    Yes, if you have a legit license key that actually belongs to you it's trivial to obtain legit install media.
