    Hey everyone,

I am going to reinstall Windows as well as change the sizes of my two partitions, maybe even put in a small ubuntu partition (>5GB). I am thinking ahead to the reinstall after the resize and reinstall and I need some help. I have accumulated quite a bit of programs, drivers, tweaks, etc. on the partition that I will be reinstalling on and I was wondering if anyone knows of (a) program(s) that will help save app lists, reg codes, driver files, setting printouts, etc.? I am just trying to avoid a couple hours of note taking as well as some more time afterwards attempting to retweak and reinstall. I do know I can just use an image, but I would like to start fresh, then choose what I will do. I am still uncertain if I will use Asus' recovery app or just use the dvd I have and the activation trick. Thank you for your help and I hope I was clear in what I was attempting to say, tis a bit late and I am off to sleep. Any ideas about the above issues would be awesome. Thank you all again.

I don't think there's any app like that out there, good job on trying for Ubuntu. I suggest you chat with the guys over in the linux forum for some general info and help unless you're experienced.

If you have ASUS recovery disk (Vista) use it.

Thank you for all your help. I will get started in recording all my info. On the linux note, I have a little bit of experience from teaching a low-level os class. I had to struggle through the tedious job of installing it on virtual machine then distributing it to a number of lab computers. I can probably get through some of the setup, the only thing I am worried about is the driver situation and updating, which I will defiantly ask the community for a hand.
