I just received my new Lenovo x61s here a couple of days ago and ever since I've been using it I keep consistently getting an error popup that says "Reliability analysis metrics calculation executable has stopped working". I'm not sure what triggers it cause usually all i've been doing in browseing the net when I get them. The App in question is RacAgent.exe. I'm using Vista Business 32-bit. Has anyone else gotten this error before and know how to address it?

a quick google search is not of much use, but given the function of the application and the affected module, it makes me wonder if you are having some sort of ram issue.

have you used a program like memtest+ to see if your ram is OK?

That would be my first step.

Nope I havn't yet. The ThinkPad came with 1 1GB DIMM already installed and I installed another 1GB Crucial module myself. I'll have to run Memtest86 and Windows Memtest to see if there could be an issue with faulty memory. I'm thinking that it could be the RAM as well or maybe possibly the Intel Turbo Memory?

Whoa--that's a big alert right there--lenova is pretty good about testing ram, but adding another stick from somewhere else fires off the warning bells for me

I'd pull the crucial and see if the error repeats...if yes, pull the original and insert the crucial

I'm betting a bad ram stick
