Is it possible to re-map the "Right-Click" key on my Vostro? It's the key that brings up the right-click (or context?) menu.

I'd love to have it do something like bring up launchy.

Try Sharpkeys, I use it with my apple keyboard (that's on a windows machine) so the keys do what I want them to. I also use Microsoft IntelliType because sharpkeys only lets you redefine buttons, and IntelliType lets you set the programs to launch from app keys.

+1 for Sharpkeys. You can actually remap any key to any key under Vista. It takes a bit of registry hacking, which Sharpkeys does for ya.

I believe AutoHotkey does the same thing, plus much more. It is just a scripting application that you can customize to do basically anything you want.

AutoHotkey is not the same. That is a Macro program. Sharpkeys is a remapper.

Maybe not exactly the same, but it can definitely do this.

    found somehwere on the net:

    Sharpkeys.
. (quote) One of the most commonly asked questions about SharpKeys is "can I remap a shift-key to another key" - something that wants to move only a modified part of a key... like leave 5 where it is but remap %. Since SharpKeys simply exposes the built-in remapping technology of Windows, and Windows only remaps whole keys, this is something that is impossible with SharpKeys.

    Autokey.
. (quote) This remaps keys on an application by application basis and does a whole lotta stuff... it's also open source and free, .. rather Geek-centric.

my 2(u.s) cents: both of them could be cool together

    cheers ...

You cannot remap the Fn keys, some of them are hardware linked (like screen on/off , fan control ,wireless).
OR maybe I just have not heard of that kind of a program yet.
