I have Program Features set to display in list mode, however whenever I reboot it displays in detail mode. How can I make it remember that setting? I have "Remember each folder's view settings" enabled under folder options.

Unfortunately, Fred, I don't have an answer for you. I go through the same thing over and over with Vista. Apparently, quite a few people are having the same issue with it. I don't understand why it continues to occur. In recent weeks, it hasn't been as bad for me. It's just a random thing that I've come to accept.

OK, the below link seems to work. I'll have to reboot to make sure, but relogging in works.

This is what I do and it works for me:
1) Reset the folder view setting manually by following the Method TWO (link - same as post #4, for Vista)
2) Increase folder view cache memory to 30000 (5000 is the default number)
3) Close regedit and restart
4) Make changes to the Windows Explorer window (follow Wrapping it Up carefully)
6) After that I backup both the Bags & BagMRU keys, so if Vista forgets my folder view setting again, I won't need to repeat the steps.
Good Luck -

Though, for some reason my data folder is able to remember the settings!!!!! But not the others
Not a big issue for me though...
