Why do you need a keystroke logger?

    Not true.
Many parental control softwares come with a usage logger. Some of them also come with keystroke loggers. Also, many network security suites (for business networks) will also include this functionality.
However, most of those you have to pay for.

Trying to find a "free" keystroke logger will likely lead you to many viruses or trojan programs, as keystroke loggers are a common way of gathering private info after cracking into machines.

If you really need a logger for a legitimate reason, you'd be best to purchase one from a well known security vendor.
