Hey guys just recieved my Dell XPS1530
T9300 2.5ghz
4GB Ram
Nvidia 8600
160GB 7200 SATA
I was wondering how I can get rid of some of these unwanted windows applications such as
Windows Mail
Windows Contacts

I've tried going into uninstal programs however they are not listed.
Any help is appreciated thanks!!
PS Would anyone recommend a good restoring program for me to use just in case.....

To Add/Remove components in Vista, do the following:
- Open Control Panel
- In the left hand pane choose Classic View
- Double click Programs and Features
- Look in the left hand pane and click on Turn Windows Features on or off
- Once the box is updated you will be able to Add/Remove Windows Components
As for a restore program, don't know. But I think System Restore would be able to fix something like that (I think).

I use a free linux tool called PartImage ( http://www.partimage.org/Main_Page ). It makes a compressed image file of your partition, so it is the ultimate backup tool really. It is a little troublesome to figure out at first, but once you understand how to mount hard drives and such it is very easy and a great resource to have.
