    Hi

can anyone advise me how I can COMPLETELY bet rid o T Bird from my laptop please?

I like TBird, but I think I've got a malware in it as I'm getting loads of spam mails and they're being SENT out from me too (they are all in my "Sent"box. I've tried running Malwarebytes an Housecall...no good!!
I figured if i got rid of it and then installed again starting from new with a new password, I could get it up and running again.
    Is that workable?

Either the spammers have gotten a hold of your e-mail password or even worse have gained access to your computer in some way which is why i wouldn't take any chances and just nuke your windows installation.

You said you used malwarebytes, did you run a scan with your anti-virus as well?

In any case, use a known non-infected computer and change your e-mail password now and make sure to use a strong password. If it's an e-mail for which you have to contact your IT department to change the password for some reason (work or something else), do it now.

If I were in your shoes, i'd backup all personal data and reinstall the OS just to be sure.

    Thank you for reply.
As a matter of fact, I'm hoping to get an SSD soon so will be installing windows again onto it,
    Will that do the job?
