    Since i've reformated w/ WinXP PRo SP2 i've noticed a 2nd
wireless program in the tray that i believe is apart of XP.
I'm already using Intel ProSet/Wireless so i have no use for this
program. Can someone help me uninstall it or keep it from loading?? thanks

Can you describe what is in the tray? Is it two computers with a red "x" ?

I use Intel Wireless also. If you are using Intel, then XP's software should be turned off automatically. You can only use one or the other, but not both at the same time.

    coming off the computer.

If it's bugging you so much to have this icon appear, go to the properties of the wireless connection (in network connections) and untick the "Show icon in notification area" checkbox.

This only allows you to take out "Networking Services", which is ABSOLUTELY NOT what is trying to be done. In fact if you do this, you will most likely be rendered without networking ability, simply because most 3rd party wireless controllers (intel Pro/wireless, HP wireless asst, etc) go through windows networking protocols, defined within the scope of teh Networking Services that XP runs.

You cant uninstall the Windows wireless, it is default disabled if you are running the manufacturer wireless program. Infact, the only thing you can do is chose to disable the box that says "Show Icon in Taskbar when connected". There is no other option other than to simply ignore the fact that it is there. Another option however is to use it, since it works just as functionally as your Intel Pro/Wireless, and close that client.
    hope that helps

You can also disable "Wireless Zero Configuration" service. This will not get rid of computers with red cross in tray but it will reduce ammount of RAM windows uses & maybe you'll have one less 'svhost.exe' running.
