    Renaming Custom Visual Theme files in Windows Vista

    How can I rename the custom visual theme file so that when I go into personalize -> windows color and appearance to choose to apply the custom theme I can actually see the name of the custom theme instead of "aero" or "basic". Please see my screenshot... Thanks.

    I think you'd need to save it as a new file.

    XP could save "visual styles" - so Vista should do to.

    right click the desktop => properties

    2nd option from the bottom (!!) - in German its calle "Designs" - that brings up a box which allow you to save a custom style.
