    Resize Partition System ( C: )

    Hello guys,

    I have a Harddisk 120 GB. I divided two partition. First Partition with size 20 GB as Partition System ( C: ) and second partition with size 100 GB as Data..

    I want to increase first partition size to be 40 GB.. how to do it, maybe your have experience about it..

    Info : I used Windows XP Pack 2

    Two options; both are a pain in the ass:

    1) Move data partition to the right and expand the first partition to fill up the space left behind by the said data partition. This would take hours and often does not work.

    2) Backup your data to another drive, delete the data partition and expand the OS partition as much as you want. Recreate the data partition and transfer your data back in to it.

    If you want to pay for a software, consider Paragon Partition Manager. It has the option to Redistribute free space.
