    hi do have any idea how to restore again the wallpaper..i just got black screen,no background but the icon is okey..im using window 7 stater.32 bit

    You broke it in the first place? How did you manage to do that when its embedded in the system files?

    I know you're not able to change it in the Starter edition... only thing I can think of is that you didn't activate Windows yet.

    right click on desktop > click personalize > desktop background

    or

    if you want one of your own pictures go to start > pictures folder > right click on the picture you want to use > set as desktop background.

    edit^^ ahh does these options not come in the starter 7 option :(

    Windows will set the wallpaper to be black if you're not running a properly activated version. Is it possible you're running into that? If so, you need to talk to your computer manufacturer or Microsoft to get activated. We will not talk about ways to get around activation on these forums.

    If it is activation while connected to the net go to the Control panel and search "activation" and you will get the links you need..........
