So I had @Phoenix on my teamviewer and he looked through my PC and did some funkey stuff on it. I already had half of it done by disabling lots of garbage features from Windows, however Phoenix took it a step further and removed the garbage, found even more bloatware that should go and even optimized a couple of things here and there.

He was always poilte and was always asking wheter or not I needed programs, so that I won't be needing anything after all the uninstalls he did. He also always explained why he did certain things and what the consequences where, so even if a novice would get an idea what he's doing. Overall pretty good service, job well done.

His software kit was quite neat to have as well, good shortcuts and every single tool is portable, so if you have multiple notebooks you can apply it to it as well. It also helped that I knew 90% of the tools myself so I already knew how to use most of them.

So obviously now you guys ask.... did it help?

Welp, I'd say pictures say more than 1000 words so lets roll with that for now.'

Overall system is more snappy, even tho it was already snappy before now it's slightly more snappy, firefox did have a huge improvement tho, I'm pretty sure that on a weaker system this would make a huge difference.

So ya, thanks @Phoenix for the service, would always recommend. If others have Feedback for Phoenix, then give the guy a bit love here.

I agree. Specifically regarding help from @Phoenix, but in the general sense as well. It costs nothing to let someone know they've been helpful or done a good job.

Hey, @Phoenix, is there any way that you'd know the tweaks I've done to my units (not sure if you help with M18x R1 tweaks)? I tried to do most of the stuff that I wanted from your long list, but I don't know if I missed something really important. I think it's easier if you sent a PM instead just because I don't want to derail the thread further.

    Isn't 822 -> 834 within margin of error?
If the score earlier was 792 then Phoenix did his magic to get the scores to 834. Good job Phoenix.

I'm 100% sure that I have used O&O program on both my laptops, and I've also used the first two threads as a guide to my tweaks. I check those threads from time to time.

I'm not sure how you want me to prove that my P750TM came from HIDevollution, but I'll be happy to provide you with one. I have yet to make a reseller feedback thread as I have been busy since I got it November last year. With that said, are you able to check up on my M18x R1 as well if you do decide to help?

    Thanks for the clarifications! :)

Well O&O ShutUp is a must IMO before anyone should touch Windows 10. I'd only be able to help you with your HIDevolution Gaming Machine as it is a very long and tedious tweaking session and I have no capacity to do it on other machines but once you see me do the tweaks, then you are free to copy my Software/Tweaks folder and do them on your other machines.

Just tag me when you want and I'll PM you. I didn't realize you had an EVOC until I looked closely are your signature since you don't have the Gaming Badge

@Phoenix, there's a Steam problem where I can't see the store using the program. Maybe something with the GP tweaks? I'm not sure what it was though.

EDIT: It's back. I can see the store now. Maybe it was a Steam issue. It just took way longer than usual.

Thank you for helping me tonight. Your insights are much appreciated.

    Hi, guys~

I would like to add my voice to the others here who have come to recognize that @Phoenix is a resource beyond measure--and how lucky so many of us are to have him on this forum.

My story actually starts with @Donald at HIDevolution. So apologies for this long post, but it's been a miraculous road for me!

I'm a certified, award-winning newbie on this forum; I found it while researching options for my next laptop. And while I was looking around here, I noticed so many positive posts about the helpful assistance received from @Donald at HIDevolution that I decided to call the company and see if I might get to speak with him myself.

Well, that experience was a major awakening for me.

By the time I called HIDevolution, I had decided on a particular MSI 14-inch model I'd explored through reviews, YouTube unboxing videos, and the like. Plus, I'd read many articles about the difference(s) among Intel processors (and what the numbers/letters meant), the value of dual-channel RAM (and the difference between 2400 and 2666 MHz), types of SSDs, and so on. I was pretty sure I knew exactly what I wanted and needed.

Fortunately for me, Donald was the soul of patience--and a treasure of practicality. Once he understood what I did for a living (I'm a book-publishing copy editor), he knew that my needs were nowhere near those of a hard-core gamer. And he helped me understand why...and then talked at length about what might be better for my purposes.

In the end, @Donald saved me a great deal of money through his desire to help. I ordered an MSI GS63 Stealth (specs in my signature), along with a "clean install" of Windows 10 and myriad other tweaks that @Donald had explained would save memory and promote efficiency. We finished our conversation nearly two hours later, with his assurance that he would be there for me at any time if I had questions or wanted to make any changes.

And then he suggested I register on this forum and, when my laptop arrived, that I contact one @Phoenix for further streamlining and tweaking.

I was on the fence about taking time for even more tweaking, but I used the time while I waited for my laptop (and it wasn't a long wait!) to read posts by and about @Phoenix.

By the time my MSI arrived, I knew that contacting @Phoenix might be one of the smartest moves I'd make all year. And I was right about that.

I saw that @Phoenix was always helping others on this forum, so I did not expect immediate assistance, and I was fine with that. To my surprise, however, when I tagged him in a post and asked for his help, he contacted me within minutes.

And over more hours than I want to specify here, @Phoenix worked remotely to configure my laptop into a sleek, high-powered, ragingly organized work weapon.

He did not, would not, stop laboring over my baby--nothing was too minor to configure or fix once he noticed it. @Phoenix is (IMO) a lethal combination: a perfectionist who knows exactly how best to apply his knowledge to address the needs of the individual he is helping.

And through it all, he was always, always courteous and patient.

I was blown away. And I am not easily blown away--I have lived too long (just look at my profile :) ).

By the time @Phoenix had finished and was ready to sign off, I knew--I knew--that I possessed one of the finest, most efficient laptops I have ever had or ever will have.

@Phoenix, I would like to thank you for your time, your expertise, and your determination to make my laptop the best it could be. @Donald worked to get me what I needed...and you have made it shine.

The Phoenix Software Update thread is now closed. Like the in-person help @Phoenix has provided to so many people, that thread was a major resource for optimization. Rather than start a new appreciation thread, I'll just state it here....

Thanks for all the time and effort you expended initiating, growing, and even babysitting that ever so useful thread!

    Kudos @Phoenix
