Hi guys
i tried to use rufus to make bootable usb for windows 8 (64)
but when i choosed gpt it wont allow me to make it says cant make files larger than 4GB rufus soft sayin it is windows issue not rufus program .. but before few months ago i was able to do it .. with win 8 pro
do i have wrong ISO ?

There is no single file on the Win8 DVD that is 4GB.
If you insist on using Rufus, take a screenshot of your options. -
my W8.1 pro ISO is 3 GB. have you tried any other ISO burning utilities? not sure how many are out there that allow you to create UEFI bootable media. two additional options -- try " the manual process," or disable secureboot and legacy boot with MBR install media.

Yes I had Win 8.1 with no problems ..
But I need Win 8 only cos I cant use my product key on 8.1 so I downloaded 6GB version of Win 8 and I realized that I need DVD version 3.something GB and then rufus will allow me to create GPT (UEFI) boot
Is it correct ?

working now..
i was like wth and solved problem .. microsoft wont allow do fat32 larger than 4gb .. and if i want ntfs then UEFI starts complaining that it doesnt support ntfs so i wont get it booted so fat 32 anf GPT only way
