While im on my PC, randomly ill get a message saying Rundll32.dll has stopped responding. And click here to terminate program or whatever. SO i do that. As far as i know, thats a crucial system windows file and a pc cant run without it, am i wtong? because ive been exiting the program after it stops responing and my computer is always fine afterwards. So i dont know if i should worry or if this will give me some problems later on. But if anything its annoying. Its at random times. and started a couple weeks ago. it probably happens around 1 or 2 times every two hours. So, i need to know if i should not worry or if i should and if it could cause me pc probs later. but it is annoying and i would like to fix just because its a pain in the ass. So, thanks to anyone who helps me.

    Scan your system for viruses/spyware

Do you have SP1 installed, with all important updates? Is Problem Reports and Solutions turned on?

btw rundll32.exe is run by other programs to access Windows API functions.

Did you install any new programs recently?

System Restore may be an option if you have an early enough restore point.
