Ok this might sound like a complete noob question and it probably is but am I able to copy the entire contents of a cd to the hard drive, (not a copy and paste job) so I can access it that way? Basically I want to be able to use the program with out the CD. Any programs or software that can do this?
I'd say I am about 60% computer savvy so if anyone can help that would be great.

Make an ISO image from CD. Most of the CD-burning software should be able to do that. Nero, Roxio, UltraISO (I use this) can do that.

Then, you can use Nero Imagedrive (or Daemon Tools) by creating a virtual CD Drive and 'mounting' ISO file there.

There are issues, however. If you install Daemon Tools, most of the digital rights protection solutions like StarForce or Securom are likely to complain and even restrict you from using the software (mostly games) they came with.

Thanks- worked a treat. It was a clip art cd- sick to death of the kids fighting over it.
