    How many running processes does everyone have? I have 71. anyway to make it lower?? seems way too high..

    yeah i know about msconfig... the laptop is new and it has alot of em on there... i guess maybe i'll go threw it again..

    Mine came with about 77 running at start up and I have XP home, I uninstalled some programs and did the msconfig thing but could only get it down to 64 on start up, probably still to much. To me the computer feels pretty fast and can start up in under a minute thirty so until/if it becomes a problem I'm just going to let it be.

    40. thats with nortan and acer empowering tech.which will be gone very soon.with all the junk removed should bring it down to 29-30.thats what i class as normal. :D

    Right now on this old desktop? 26. It's very old, and it running slow with only 26. Can't wait to get my laptop, i think i'll still try an keep the processes low though, don't want to run down the battery.

    I have 56+....I tried everything to lower it but thats as far as it would go.


    Anybody have any tips on how to lower it?
