I recently heard about people running the Mac OS on a pc through an external hard drive. Is this process as easy as it sounds? I going to assume that it isn't and that you'll need some additional software or drivers to make this process work. When I was told about it, the guy said that you can run the system from the external and use it kinda like you would use bootcamp with the apple computers. If you want to run the apple os on the pc then just restart the computer and run the system through the hard drive. Is it possible to do it this way...? If it isn't what's the easiest way to run Leopard on a pc through an external hard drive?

there is really no easy way to do that. as far as i know there are hacks to try to get os x to run on standard pc hardware, but they are glitchy and not fully functional and definitely not supported.

with the release of intel leopard the legality of running os x on a pc is questionable to me, although you would certainly be breaking the license agreement by doing so.

Even though it is possible to run OSX on a windows machine, it is still illegal since it is against Apples OSX Software EULA to run OSX on "non-apple" hardware.

    Thread closed.

    Thx
