Hey guys, for the purpose of maximizing battery life would it be better to save files on an SDcard rather than have it save it on the disk drive? (To prevent the spindle from constantly being read and written on.) I'm trying to maximize my battery life, I've followed the guide on this site and various other site. All in all I've increased my battery life from 2.5 to 3.5hrs and now I'm looking for more ways to further increase my battery life, so this is the reason why I'm asking this question. Thanks in advance :)

This is something I would be interested in. An SD card is small and compact and thus will not stick out like a generic USB flash drive, but I am not certain if saving files to an SD card while on battery will save battery life. In theory I think it would, just like saving to a USB flash drive, but in laptops with full HDDs, not hybrid ones, isnt the HDD constantly spinning, even at slow speed from time to time?
