    SOS. External Drive infected.

    I need your helps guys. I am in deep trouble. It seems that my external drive has been infected with some kind of virus. It hid most of the folders, i can see it with Tree Size or using cmd, please help me unhide all these folders in any way you can.

    firstly you need to run antivirus on it to get rid of the virus or its pointless as they will just be hidden again.

    try right clicking the greyed out folder and go to properties > make sure attributes hidden at the bottom is not ticked or box is blue and if it is tick it again and click apply.

    Mr. jackluo 923's solution worked fine and i also tried S.Prime's, it all works like a charm. Thank you so much. I have recovered all the files and quarantined a single malware, the one that causes the folders in hidden state.
