    Hello!

I was trying to format and re-install Windows Vista Ultimate x64 on my notebook, and when I popped my DVD in and rebooted from it, the setup didn't do jack (the same happened when I accessed it through Windows). It gave me to errors -

    Code:
    1) \Sources\SPWINENG.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains error. Try installing the programs again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software support.
When I press OK, it gives me this -

    Code:
    2) The file Autorun.dll could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [OxC1]
This^^ DVD was one I bought, and burnt the image of the original DVD on, so that if I use it roughly and it goes bust, at least I'd have the original.

Then I used my original DVD, same errors!

Then I inserted my Windows Vista Home Premium x86 DVD that came with my notebook in, and it worked fine! :S

Then, I bought a new DVD, and burnt it on 1X using an image of this installation, and it gave me the same error!

I then mounted the image using PowerISO, and same errors! I mounted the Home Premium image, it worked fine!

If the DVDs were corrupt, maybe due to some physical defects, then I can understand these two files gone retarded, but surely the same two files gone corrupt in an image file AND 2 DVDs?

    Any ideas for the solution?

    Aw :(

Some people on those threads mentioned bum hardware. Or there copies of Vista were RC/beta. You don't happen to have those problems do you :\

I just burnt 14 or so DVDs yesterday, for backup, and when I tried to use the Windows disc(s), it gave me error. So I don't think it is the hardware. It is reading other discs fine as well. I get this error only on Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 disc + image, using which I have already installed Windows earlier, twice in the past.

Can anyone upload these two files then? They're very small. I can try to replace the retards from my image with the new ones, and then try to burn the image and see if that works. I don't want to go back to x86!!
