SSL Certificate error date and time

Hello,

I just did a clean installation of Windows 10 using the guide in the sticky.
Now I keep getting SSL Certificate error whenever I visit a https site, it always says that the certificate is invalid (expired) but the dates shows that it is still valid.
I checked few times that my windows date and time are correct and that the region is correct. I tried to reboot and clear the certificate cache but this still happens.

It happens on both Chrome and Edge. The error is always: NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

Anyone have an idea?

 

1) Click on the time in the far right bottom corner of your taskbar

2) Click on Date and Time Settings from the menu that pops up

3) Now click on "Additional date, time & regional settings

4) From the control panel menu that pops up, click on "Set the date and time" from the top left

5) From the new window that pops up, go to the last tab "Internet Time"

6) Click on "Change settings..."

7) Click "update now" to have your time synced with the latest Microsoft Time servers, if it fails the first time, click "update now" and you will see a message saying "updated successfully"

8) Reboot your laptop

9) Problem solved

PS: Before doing all of this, make sure you have set your time zone properly

I did that several times and the issue is still there. I also tried to clean the certificates in the "Internet Options". I cleared the history and cookies as well.
Something is strange.. And i dont think its a malware the certificates seems legit.

 

Invalid SSL Certificate errors are from the site themselves not the Browser. So unless the site updates or correct any Certificate errors the Browser will verify based on what information it uses to cross the certificate to validate and prevent fake certificates.
