So, I'm trying to make my Windows PC look as unlike Windows as possible - possibly look a lot like a Mac; have the full compatibility and functionality of Windows with the interface of Mac.

Is Safari better than Firefox - is it still as compatible as Firefox?

I actually have the very skin installed right now, but I'm asking not just looks wise but is Safari faster than Firefox?

On the Laptop in my sig, in vista, firefox loads in about 5 seconds and safari in 3, but if you are using vista it all depends on superfetch.

Safari is pretty much the same as Firefox in terms of speed. But the text rendering makes everything boldy and mushy.

Safari is not in my top 3 browsers, that's for sure. Also, what's up with all the people wanting to make their systems into Mac wannabes? I think Justin Long really is getting to some of you....

I would not say it is better (or not better) than FF. You will find fans on both sides. Safari 3.1.2 for windows is very usable and quick. But as you stated - "making your pc looking like a mac" - you might need to get used to some built-in functions that tends to be mac-preferences, and also forget about extensions :)

    cheers ...

Ugh... medium and strong are both too blurry for me... I use Light or Standard... they're pretty nice... not that I really use Safari much though.

Then again, I wouldn't really want to make my Windows look like a Mac... I do like their scroll bars though.
