I have Samsung NP550P5C-S02IN laptop with i7 3610QM and Nvidia GT 650M. When I am gaming (Battlefield 3, Crysis 2) the CPU temps are about
95 C and GPU about 88 C maximum. However I am not experiencing any throttling

    Are these safe ?
What are the limits for temperature on CPU and GPU ?? What are the side effects of prolonged exposure to high temp ??

Which is the best Laptop cooler that can blow air on the underside of the laptop ?

for pro gaming laptops 95c is touching the threshold limit but i have no idea abought your samsung model.
when was the last time you cleaned the fans and vents out with compressed air as this is the biggest factor for rising temps.
next it could need a repaste of the thermal paste

I'd say anything below 90C is safe, for both CPU and GPU. 90 to 100C is "danger" - various pieces of hardware often throttle in this range; above 100C is "panic" - various pieces of hardware often perform a shutdown in this temperature range, to prevent physical damage.

Intel's specs for i7-3610QM say that the Tjunction parameter for this CPU is set at 105C. That's when the CPU will shutdown.

^^ This is a brand new laptop (bought on 22 Sep). Will it require a new thermal paste ?? Is laptop cooler a good solution ??
