After reinstalling windows, my soundcard (external soundblaster live usb) no longer shows up in the safely remove hardware button in the taskbar. It needs to be safely removed else when unplugged it kills all usb devices and vga out until reboot. I looked around online but havent found much. Any ideas?

I tried that but no cigar. The weird thing is that when i plug in a usb thumb drive, the icon shows up with only the option to remove the jump drive, not the sound card as well.
