    Rather disappointing. I didn't look closely enough at the download page. I expanded Samsung Magician for Enterprise SSD, and mistakenly downloaded the Linux version of that utility. The utility doesn't work on my 860, 960 or 970.

    I need to download the "consumer" version, and there's only a windows version of that.

    In my laptop, the new version 6.3.0 doesn't want to work, and the previous version 6.2.1 works fine.
    When running the program 6.3.0, the error "failed to initialize the application" is displayed.

    Ask in the sub forum for your laptop model if others have same problem. Post ssd model and Win version. Not many out there with this problem. And I have never run into this.

    FWIW, version 6.3.0 works on my laptop that has three Samsung SSDs installed.

    What drivers for disk controllers are installed?

    I have such drivers installed:
    • Samsung NVMe Controller v.3.3.0.2003 -> Samsung SSD NVMe PM961
    • Intel(R) 300 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller v.17.9.4.1017 -> Samsung SSD 860 EVO M.2

    I had an older NVME controller, but I updated it to 3.3.0.3003, and Magician still runs. Drives are listed in my signature (4 of them). Of course, my chipset is older than yours. Skylake, 6700HQ processor.
    Not sure that helps a lot - sorry.
